Our Staff

Healing Horses, Kauai currently has two instructors certified by the Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH).  Our instructors oversee all aspects of our program and ensure that PATH standards are upheld.   They also actively participate in continuing education and mentorship and strive to bring international best practices to the program.

Sandy Webster, Executive Director
Sandy Webster is the 2012 Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship James Brady Award Winner. Sandy is a PATH Intl. Master Instructor, CanTRA Coach, Canadian Equestrian Federation Level 2 Eventing and Dressage Coach. She is a PATH Intl. Evaluator for the Registered, Advanced Instructor and Master Certification.  She is an Accreditation Site visitor, Mentor Training and Interactive Vaulting faculty.  Sandy has attended 2 Paralympics and 3 World Championships with riders with disabilities as their coach. She has a diverse background in many disciplines related to training horses, including racing, 3-day eventing, dressage, carriage driving and therapeutic riding.  Sandy was the program director and executive director of CARD, an exceptional program in Toronto for over 20 years.  Sandy has spent the last 10 years as a program consultant while developing programs coast to coast in the United States and most recently as far reaching as Singapore and Kauai.

Kasey Higgins, Advanced Instructor Intern
Healing Horses is proud to have Kasey Higgins as the first PATH International Advanced Instructor Intern in Kauai.
Kasey Higgins is already a PATH, Intl. Certified Registered Therapeutic Riding and Vaulting Instructor. She has a background in centered riding techniques as well as dressage and has spent the last three years teaching participants of all ages and abilities in Connecticut and Florida before arriving in Kauai.  Kasey is currently pursuing education, experience and mentorship to further prepare her for the high expectation of the PATH, Intl. Advanced Instructor Certification.  Kasey is also pursuing her interest in becoming an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning through the mentorship program at Healing Horses through her hands-on participation in the Home and Charter School Programs with a basis of Equine Assisted Learning curriculum.
